During the last decades, there has been a rapid secular drift of the northern magnetic dip pole. This project will conduct an investigation of consequences of this shift. Specifically, we aim to use long-term data from the Kjell Henriksen Auroral Observatory, the EISCAT radar, geomagnetic observations from Hornsund, as well as remote sensing by satellites to investigate whether there is any corresponding secular shift of the auroral oval and magnetospheric cusp.
